This is a tour of some 20km along the Yacarati trail, within the reserve of the Iguazú National Park. Along that same trail, which is closed to the traffic of private vehicles, researchers are doing various studies, such as the “Project Carnivores”, and observations on primates. This excursion, lasting roughly two hours, is done in specially adapted open-top vehicles, to facilitate photography and filming. This is quite important, as in the jungle the highest tree tops are hosts to singular life forms: epiphytes such as orchids, cacti and bromeliads, “strangulating” trees, as well as a great variety of birds and mammals with exclusive arboreal habits, such as squirrels and monkeys. There will also be visits to historical places within the Iguazú National Park. |
